David Pisor is a seasoned Chicago entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience working in real estate, hospitality, and restaurants. Through the nineties, Pisor managed the acquisitions, financing, marketing and sales of numerous real estate development projects in Chicago. He then co-founded DaVinci Software, a technology consultancy, to build scalable software solutions for the portfolio companies of Midwest venture capital firms.
His next venture would be Elysian Hotel and Residences, which became one of the most recognizable brands in five-star luxury. After just one year on the scene, the Elysian took top spot in the industry with three top travel awards: #1 in the U.S. by Condé Nast Traveler 2011 Readers' Choice Awards, #1 Hotel in the U.S. by Trip Advisor, and Travel + Leisure’s “World’s Best Awards 2011.”
Then in 2015, Pisor completed the development of a 32,000 square foot building in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast. There he co-founded Maple & Ash, a new take on the Chicago steakhouse centered around a wood-fired hearth, a block away from iconic Chicago staples Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse and Tavern on Rush. He has since been an investor, partner or participant in the development of more than 1,600 luxury residential condominiums with a value in excess of $750,000,000.
